The HHS Creative Writing Club had a cyber visit on September 23, 2014 with Rick Riordan, author of the popular Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods series. Speaking from the 60th floor of the Empire State Building, Riordan spoke in this live webcast about his work. He also answered questions about mythology that were submitted by viewers around the world. Finally, Riordan read an excerpt from the final book The Blood of Olympus from the Heroes of Olympus series that will be released on October. Club members finished the webcast hour by downloading the Demi Gods app to create their own Heroes of Olympus story–a collaborative venture reflecting the creative choices of this creative group.
