The fall production chosen by Mrs. Jill Hackett for the 2015-2016 school year is To Kill a Mockingbird  based on the novel by Harper Lee, and adapted into a drama by Christopher Sergel. Many of you have read the book that was published in 1960, or even the classic film version that was released in 1962. The story tells about a young girl named Scout, who lives in Maycomb, Alabama, with her brother Jem and her father, Atticus. The conflict in the story arises when a black man named Tom Robinson is charged with raping a young white woman named Mayella Ewell. Atticus is the lawyer that attempts to take on the case.

Everyone is very excited to see what director, Mrs. Hackett, and the students of HHS have in store for us all. Without a doubt it will be a powerful and successful show!
