Hawthorne High School’s Mr. Hawthorne talent show is on March 4 at 7:30 PM in the HHS auditorium. The Clarion sat down with each of the contestants to get a chance to see what they think of the show and their chances to take the Mr. Hawthorne crown. They have been working day and night practicing their killer routines and are prepared to dazzle the crowds with their charm. Mr. Congeniality talked about how he plans to snag the crown stolen from him last year.

Clarion Reporter: What are some things that you are a part of at HHS?

Luke Sousa: I’m a part of plenty of things. Who’s asking?

Clarion Reporter: Why did you decide to do Mr. Hawthorne?

Luke Sousa: Because I want to prove to all those who said I couldn’t win that they’re right.

Clarion Reporter: Do you think you will win?

Luke Sousa: Do you think hard work can beat talent?

Clarion Reporter: What do you think of your competition? Who do you think is your biggest competitor?

Luke Sousa: Jon is my biggest competitor because he is tremendously weak, everyone will go after each other and he will prevail as winner by default.

Clarion Reporter: Tell us something about yourself that you want the audience at Mr. Hawthorne and the Hawthorne Community to know.

Luke Sousa: Sometimes when I make sandwiches I eat the mayonnaise right out of the tub.

Good luck Luke!
