The Hawthorne High School Library Media Center’s Student Tech Team will be on hand in the library computer lab on Tuesday evening January 8, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. to offer hands-on computer training. This free drop-in-any-time workshop is open to all Hawthorne residents, students, parents and grandparents. Individual lessons will be offered on basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, the Hawthorne school’s Parent Portal, staff website access, email accounts, and even social networking on sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Participants are welcome to bring their questions, concerns, and computer issues. Coffee and snacks will be served.
