New Year Resolutions

Mackenzie Costello, Staff Writer

Another year has gone by and we are settling in to 2016. Most people start off the New Year with resolutions, but do people actually stick with them?

Some resolutions involve working out more, eating healthier, being more organized, studying harder, Etc. But sometimes, people forget about the resolutions they make: usually by February.

So how can we remember these goals we make? Try to plan out your schedule using a calendar. Have some of your friends set some of the same goals as you, so you can enjoy achieving them with your friends. I think people forget their new year’s resolutions because they over plan or get overly stressed out. Don’t overwhelm yourself and try to de-stress yourself with staying positive.

For myself, I have set a lot of goals because it is my senior year and I want to make it a great one. Some of my resolutions I have set for myself are, meeting new people in my grade (because I don’t know everyone) and I’d like to be more organized with my schedule.

The New Year is a new beginning so make it good. Be adventurous and make each day count. Every day you have the chance to change the way you and how other people think, so go out and make a difference. Achieve your goals and always set new ones. Having goals set for yourself makes less stress for you.
