Alumni Spotlight: Andrew Skae

The Clarion is excited to introduce a new column called “Alumni Spotlight” showcasing graduates from Hawthorne High School. Next up, HHS alumni Andrew Skae from the class of 2009.

 

Clarion: How was your High School experience?

Skae: My high school experience was pretty average, I guess.

 

Clarion: What was your favorite high school memory?

Skae: Performing in the school plays…always a lot of fun.

 

Clarion: What are you up to now?

Skae: I am working for the Hawthorne Police Department.

 

Clarion: Did you play any sports or were you a part of any clubs?

Skae: I played Soccer, I was in band, was part of the school plays, and the ski/snowboard club.

 

Clarion: Did you end up attending college if so where?

Skae:  I started out at Passaic County Community College and then I transferred to Rowan University.

 

Clarion: Who was your favorite teacher?

Skae: Mrs. Hackett

 

Clarion: Did any of your teachers at HHS impact your life in any way?

Skae: Yes.

 

Clarion: If you had to do high school all over again, what would you do differently?

Skae: I would not do anything different…it was a great experience.
