Alumni Spotlight: Adamarie Santiago

The Clarion is excited to introduce a new column called “Alumni Spotlight” showcasing graduates from Hawthorne High School. Next up, HHS alumni Adamarie Santiago from the class of 2016.

 

Clarion: What are you up to now?

Santiago: I am going to Caldwell University aiming for music therapy. I am also working as an assistant manager at the Hawthorne movie theater.

 

Clarion: Did you play any sports or were you a part of any clubs?

Santiago: I was drum major, co-president of the drama club, an officer of the Spanish club, and I did the plays and musicals.

 

Clarion: What was your favorite high school memory?

Santiago: My favorite high school memory was playing Mama Bailey in To Kill a Mockingbird.

 

Clarion: Who was your favorite teacher?

Santiago: Ms. Wright was my favorite teacher.

 

Clarion: Did you end up attending college if so where?

Santiago: I am going to Caldwell University.

 

Clarion: How was your high school experience?

Santiago: My high school experience was memorable.

 

Clarion:Has any of the teachers you had impacted your life in any way?

Santiago: Mrs. Hackett, Ms. Griffin, and Ms.Wright (the play gang), they helped me push myself and move forward to achieve my goals.

 

Clarion: If you had to do high school all over again, what would you do differently?

Santiago: I wouldn’t change a thing.
