Local rapper and “Trap Queen” singer, Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in his hometown of Paterson. Wap, born Willie Maxwell, was driving his motorcycle; while he attempted to pass one vehicle, he was hit head on by another car, leaving him and the driver of the car seriously injured.  He is in stable condition, but he did break his leg in three different places.

He announced Thursday, that he won’t be able to perform on October 17 at the UK Live event.  Maxwell was issued three tickets as well.  He was cited for driving without a license, not having insurance, and failing to provide a vehicle registration card.  He took to his Instagram to thank his fans for all of their support, releasing a video captioned, “Appreciate ya so much for the prayers…they told me don’t make a video but I’m still breathing so I gotta let ya no I’ll be back.”  Hopefully, he makes a speedy recovery, and will be able to perform again soon.
