Would You Want to Spend a Night in Dracula’s Castle?

Sierra Van Houten, Staff Writer

This Halloween if you really wanted to get into the spirit you could spend a night in Dracula’s castle.

Yes, in Transylvania you can go to the actual castle and sleep in a coffin. They say that “no sleep” is guaranteed. Airbnb is offering guests this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Dacre Stoker the great grandnephew of “Dracula” scribe Bram Stoker, will be hosting this event.

He says, “I am going to try to give the guests a fang to fang meeting with Dracula himself. You will get a carriage ridden tour of all of the 57 rooms in the castle. Including where Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned in the castle. Then you will enjoy a delicious meal based off of the meal in the book. In fact it is an exact replica of the meal in the book. But there is one little tiny catch. Your gonna have to sleep in a coffin. There are beds available, but to complete the full experience you might have to sleep in a velvet lined coffin. But other than that everything else is not out of the ordinary.”

The castle itself gets about 630,000 people visiting each year. This Halloween it will be the first time people will sleep in the castle since 1948. Because there are still vampires living at the castle, you cannot leave the castle until dawn.

Stoker says no mirror selfies are allowed because the count is not a fan of them. Also no garlic garlic scented items or sliver jewelry or holy items are allowed into the castle.

So if you are feeling really brave you can enter this one of a kind competition.
