Thanksgiving is a time where families gather around a table and eat with each other. We also say what we are thankful for. Sometime families like to change things up. But when have things gone to far? I have found some of the strange Thanksgiving traditions of families. Some of them are really funny. Others are just flat out strange. Here are the top 5 traditions that people do every Thanksgiving.

1. This family takes the word comfort to the next level. They eat their first meal and then the women go shopping for pajamas. Then they come back and everyone gets changed. Then the family gets around the table again and they continue their meal in their fresh pajamas.
2. One family has a tablecloth that every child in their family is required to place their hand print on. The family says, “The table cloth is so full that we are going to have to get another one because of how big the kids hands are getting.” They also say that they continue this tradition because they love seeing the kids artistic skills develop.
3. This one is strange. This family names and dances with their turkey before cooking it. This persons says this started at a young age when he saw his parents do it. Now he continues this tradition.
4. This family loves reminiscing on the past. After everybody eats they watch old family videos. One member says that there are very cringe-worthy moments. But besides that, the family is known to stay up until 2 am laughing and crying at when everybody was younger.
5. This family knows the idea of a good time. When the family is done eating they take the left over food and they have a food fight in the yard. They throw mashed potatoes and stuffing. The family also does this event after a bunch of different holidays.

So there you have it. If you think your family is strange, they might be normal compared to these families. But if you think any of the traditions are cool or cute maybe you can start them. But just remember to be thankful for everything you have.
