Artist Lecrae’s Highly Anticipated Album Releasing September 22, 2017
September 20, 2017
Lecrae is a very popular hip-hop artist who has hit #1 on the Billboard Charts with his albums, EP’s, mixtapes and singles many times. His last album, “Anomaly” went gold, meaning it sold more than half a million digital copies. He has gained more attention this year after having collaborated with other famous artists such as Ty Dolla $ign and Tori Kelly. Those songs have been released as singles this year to build the hype for his new album, “All Things Work Together.” It has been highly anticipated since the release of his last album in 2014.
The album will be released on September 22, 2017. Lecrae has put up Tweets, Instagram posts, and YouTube videos (on his self-owned label, Reach Records’ channel) describing what the album will be about. “It’s been said that it’s not the destination, but the journey that matters most.” he says in his “Chapter 1” video. “We get caught up in trying to survive everything that we don’t see how we survive these elements is how we are refined. It’s made us stronger…. I used to hear stories about prison as a kid; about how devastating and chaotic it was, but there was always somebody who went through it and didn’t let it break them. They let it build them. They found hope in the chaos. What if we’re so focused on the Promised Land that we don’t appreciate everything we learned in the wilderness? Without that journey, would we have ever found hope?”
On many recent posts, Lecrae has used the phrase “There is hope in my chaos”, so we should expect a lot of that theme being displayed and expounded on throughout the album. We’ve heard some of that theme on the singles, “Can’t Stop Me Now (Destination)”, “Blessings (feat. Ty Dolla $ign)”, “I’ll Find You (feat. Tori Kelly)”, “Hammer Time (feat. 1K Phew and produced by Metro Boomin’)”, and “Broke.”
Lecrae has said that fans of his music (in which he is already so open about his life experiences and struggles) will be very surprised because of all the content in the album. “All Things Work Together” will be released this Friday, September 22, on all musical platforms.
