Now that it’s fall, leaves are changing color, Halloween is coming, and the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon is in the air.

Starbucks brought back the delicious pumpkin spice latte (aka PSL) to their menu on August 28. August 28 was the earliest debut date ever for the PSL, with the beverage  typically launching the first week of September. Over the past 15  years, the PSL has become an iconic marker of the beginning of Autumn. Although coffee snobs are saying that this drink is too “basic”, Mr. Van Winkle stated that, “I would have it everyday if possible.”

They are saying that Starbucks will go down in history as the chain that convinced Americans to spend $4 on a cup coffee. In my opinion, how would they know that it’s “basic” if they haven’t even tried it?
