Galentine’s Day

Alysa Krieger, Staff Writer

Most people know about Valentines Day, but do you know about Galentine’s Day?

Galentine’s Day is on February 13 and is a nonofficial holiday. This “holiday” was created on a show called “Parks and Recreation” when Amy Poehler’s character, Leslie Knope, decide to create a day to celebrate every year on February 13 just for her and her girlfriends.

Many girls celebrate Galentine’s Day to show their love for all of their girl friends. On this special holiday girls get together and exchange gifts, go out to breakfast, and just spend a good time with friends.

This is the perfect thing to do if you are going to be single on Valentine’s Day or you just want to show how much you love your friends.

Will you be celebrating Galentine’s Day this year?
