It is no secret that New Jersey has produced some amazing professional athletes.

From former New York Giants player, Victor Cruz, to 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist, Laurie Hernandez, many different sports have gotten a taste of that “jersey heat” that each athlete offers. But what about the athletes in the sports entertainment industry? In the past two years or so, World Wrestling Entertainment, better known by its initials, WWE, has added a huge amount of new talent from New Jersey to their main and developmental roster.

Although it isn’t really a rare sight to see a WWE Superstar who comes from the Garden State before this time, in 2017-2019, a load of talent from New Jersey (bigger than anyone has seen before) appeared.

These athletes include Liv Morgan, from Elmwood Park, Sonya Deville, from Shamong Township, Deonna Purrazzo, from Livingston, and Simon Gotch, from Hackensack, and many more up and coming talent.

The debut of these new athletes in the WWE is not only a great representation of how the state can breed and create stars, but it is also a way of showing that just because you don’t come from a massive state, town, or city, doesn’t mean it is impossible for you to get great opportunities and live out your dreams.
