Is Chuck E Cheese Recycling Pizza?
March 13, 2019
As a child, you may remember going to Chuck E. Cheese for an entertaining and exciting time with family and friends. From the dazzling arcade games, to the unattainable prizes, Chuck E Cheese can be compared to a mini Las Vegas for children. However, recently a controversial conspiracy involving the authenticity of Chuck E Cheese’s pizza has made the public go insane trying to figure out if Chuck E Cheese is holding a sinister secret.
So, what is the theory? People believe that the franchise has been falsely advertising their pizza that is supposedly fresh and baked daily; instead, is taking and reusing leftover unfinished pieces from customers, molding different pieces together into a “Frankenstein pie,” and serving the unsanitary and definitely not fresh pieces to customers.
Why do People Believe This Conspiracy? This “recycled pizza” theory all stems from the popular Youtuber, Shane Dawson. In two episodes of his “Investigating Conspiracy Theories with Shane Dawson,” series, he addressed to his over twenty-one million subscribers his concern for how pizza pies from Chuck E Cheese never seem to line up to a create a perfect circle. At first, he just thought it was a theory and nothing more stating, “So I noticed this when I was 8 years old or something…I was like, wait a minute, how come all the pieces are different?” However, after further investigating by going to a location near his house in Los Angeles, he ordered the pizza and found the same uneven, jagged slices that now make customers uneasy.
Chuck E. Cheese’s has continuously denied these allegations saying, “ “No conspiracies here — our pizzas are made to order and we prepare our dough fresh in restaurant, which means that they’re not always perfectly uniform in shape, but always delicious.”
Now that you’ve heard the theory…what do you believe?
