Crisis On Infinite Earths

Nihal Chowdhury, Staff Writer

The biggest superhero event since Avengers: Endgame, Crisis on Infinite Earths is DC Comics’ way of responding. However, instead of a 3 hour-long movie, it is going to be a 5 hour-long special across 5 CW shows. The order of the shows airing the episodes are Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow to end it.

This will be the biggest cross-over in television history. Spanning across 5 shows, there will be multiple guest stars from Smallville’s Tom Welling, Black Lighting’s Cress Williams, and Kevin Conroy from the Batman Beyond animated series. With all these guest stars to match up with Stephen Amell’s Arrow, Grant Gustin’s Flash, and Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl. All these heroes will team up to save the multiverse and take down the antagonist, the Anti-Monitor.

The plot of the comic book story is that the Anti-Monitor is wiping away multiple different Earths from existence with anti-matter. By doing so, he plans on becoming the sole ruler of all realities. To combat this, The Monitor recruits heroes all across  the Multiverse but is killed. The heroes all travel back in time to defeat the Anti-Monitor before he begins his wrath. The only way to save their Earth is if the Flash and Supergirl die.

Now, showrunners of all the series and executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, have stated that they will try to stay in line with the comic as much as possible. However, it is very unlikely that the Flash and Supergirl will survive.

Worlds will live, worlds will die, and the universe will never be the same.
