With just three simple ingredients, you can make this amazing Oreo Truffles recipe for any occasion! This dessert is perfect for people of all ages. It is my go-to recipe for family events, and with the holiday season right around the corner, this is a perfect recipe to have on hand.

The three ingredients that you will need for this recipe are oreos, cream cheese, and chocolate melts. You will need about 36 oreos, which can be found in a regular sized package. You will need 8oz of the standard full fat cream cheese.

Lastly, you can use white, dark, or milk chocolate melts for this recipe, or you can mix it up if you’d like! You will need 16oz of whichever kind(s) of chocolate you decide to use.

These Oreo Truffles can be prepared in about 30 minutes. Prepare by lining a 13×18 cooking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper. The first step to this recipe is using a blender or food processor to crush up all of your oreos to fine crumbs. This could also be done by hand if you’ve got the time and don’t have a blender or food processor. Next, combine the cream cheese with the crushed oreos until it is evenly distributed. This can be done using a food processor, stand mixer, or by hand.

After your mixture is finished, shape the mixture into balls using about 1 tbsp sized scoops of the oreo-cream cheese mixture. Now it’s time to put them in the freezer for 10 minutes. While your oreo balls are in the freezer, melt all your chocolate in the microwave, making sure to use a microwave-safe bowl and mixing the chocolate every 30 seconds to avoid burning. Let the melted chocolate cool until the 10 minutes are up.

When the oreo balls have spent 10 minutes in the freezer, take them out and begin dipping them in the melted chocolate. Use a spoon to cover the oreo ball, then lift it up and allow some excess to drip off. Place the oreo ball back onto the cooking sheet. Once you have repeated this step to each oreo ball, place the tray in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, allowing the chocolate to harden. If you’d like to make this treat more aesthetically pleasing, you can decorate by drizzling more melted chocolate over the top after the truffles have been refrigerated. You could also save some crushed oreos from earlier to sprinkle some on top of the truffles before refrigerating them, so that they stick to the chocolate.

These truffles can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, and when being served, they can be left in room-temperature for no more than 2 hours. They could also be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. If you freeze them, thaw in the refrigerator overnight before eating them.
