DMX was just recently hospitalized on April 5th due to a heart attack believed to be caused by a drug overdose. He is now in a coma and is set to undergo brain function tests. On top of everything that has happened to him, he now caught Covid-19 in the hospital. DMX is a rapper who was very popular in the rappers due to his hit songs ‘Gon’ Giv it to Ya’ and ‘Ruff Ryders Anthem’. Even with all his fame and success he has struggled with mental illness and drug addiction.

He is still currently on life support and continues to fight for his life. A large crowd of his supporters gathered outside the hospital Monday April 5 for a prayer vigil and to chant his name. Many people in the crowd crossed their arms in the air to form the shape of an X, according to NBC New York. Fellow musicians and celebrities have been  sending DMX well-wishes through social media. As of April 8, we are still waiting to get more information.
