Thor: Love, Thunder and What to Expect

Thor, the God of Thunder is one of Marvel’s most highly loved characters and one of the greatest of the original Avengers. Chris Hemsworth does a terrific performance of bringing the adaptation to life. But as of Avengers: Endgame from 2019 we haven’t seen much of Thor. That is until the upcoming movie Thor: Love and Thunder, styled around an 80’s aesthetic.

Thor: Love and Thunder is a continuation of Thor’s story.

The last we saw of him was in Endgame. In Endgame he had become very depressed and seemed to go into a spiral after the events of Infinity War, where half the entire galaxy was erased from existence from Thanos. He gained a mean beer belly and an unkept beard.

But from the new trailers we get to see he’s changed once again. He began to work out heavily out of his, “dad bod into god bod.” He even seems to have found peace for himself with him meditating under a tree.

We see an appearance of the Guardians of the Galaxy briefly as well as Thor pulling their ship. But one of the main aspects of the trailer is the appearance of a fixed Mjolnir, Thor’s previously broken hammer, as well as his ex-girlfriend Jane from the original Thor movies.

Jane has become one of the God of Thunders which catches Thor by surprise. Gorr makes his first ever appearance in the MCU, who is played by Christian Bale. Gorr is going to be the main antagonist of the film with his intentions from what we see in the trailer, is to kill Thor.

This film is highly anticipated for Marvel fans and it is set to release July 8, 2022.
