Ten years together and on October 20th, 2025 the girls and their fans (ONCE) celebrated the anniversary together. A special album was released, titled “TEN: The Story Goes On”. Now, this title warmed the hearts of ONCE all around the world, as it’s a play on their debut album’s name, which was titled “The Story Begins”. Their tenth anniversary special album is one that would certainly be a good recommendation for new listeners. Its 10 tracks, (and was released on 10/10… they’re quite the corny group but that makes them loveable) track one is a song of love and friendship, titled ME+YOU, it is also one of TWICE’s many English songs. The other nine tracks of the album are all solo songs that each of the members have crafted and performed. With each being a different genre there is something in there for everyone, from country to dance to pop, that explore many genres.
These girls average 2-3 album releases per year, with 2025 seeing 3 full album releases and one solo album release from the member Chaeyoung.
Let’s begin with the album released in the beginning of the summer. “This Is For”, the full length album released in July marked the start of TWICE’s incredible album release period in the year of 2025. Starting off with the 14 track album, they brought to the table 11 full English songs, as well as the title track being completely English too. Only one month later TWICE released a full length Japanese album, “Enemy”, because as well as the group releasing English and Korean music, they also release Japanese music.
Again only a single month later, the member Chaeyoung released her full length solo debut album, titled “LIL Fantasy Vol.1”. The album consisted of 9 tracks (with the exception of a physical album exclusive 10th track), as Chaeyoung herself insisted it have 9 tracks to pay homage to the 9 members of TWICE. Every song was written by Chaeyoung, as well as composed or produced by her. The album was a hit, the Grammys themselves even named it as one of the must hear albums of September. Rolling Stone Magazine named it the 86th best album of the year on their list of “The 100 Best Albums Of 2025”.It delivered a sound not familiar in the K-Pop realm.
After releasing their tenth anniversary special album, titled “TEN: The Story Goes On”, the girls kicked off their sixth world tour “This Is For World Tour” this summer, only 8 days after releasing their new album (“This Is For”). This world tour would be unlike any other, as it featured a full 360 stage and had seating open in the entire venue, no sections closed off.
This group has earned many awards in Korean and American. One of which being the first kpop girl group to win a Billboard Women In Music award back in 2023. They’ve won Song of the Year, Group of the Year, and so many other awards. This year the South Korean President himself stated “We want to see more groups like TWICE’.
As of November 22nd, and 23rd TWICE have become the first and only K-Pop act to utilize and sell out a stadium in full 360 degree capacity. The location of this performance was of just as much significance. After 10 years this was the group’s first time performing in Taiwan. Something that the member Tzuyu has wished for every birthday, as it is her home country.
Taiwan went crazy for TWICE, landmark buildings were lit up in Tzuyu’s color, shops were closing as all the people were going to the concerts. The mayor of Kaohsiung (the location of the concert) himself even dyed his hair blue to welcome Tzuyu back home. Even the government of Taiwan as a whole (including the former President and current President), officially welcomed TWICE, and specifically Tzuyu on her return. Her arrival at the airport was met with large crowds and cheers and roars, which is fitting as she is nicknamed the light of Taiwan and the Princess of Taiwan as well.
Set to perform 3 shows in Tokyo, Japan at the Japan National Stadium (also making them the first foreign act and K-Pop group to perform there) in April 2026 with an estimated capacity of 80,000+ attendees per show, TWICE will become part of the only female artists alongside Taylor Swift and Beyoncé to perform for 3 consecutive nights to 70,000+ people.
K-pop is a broad spectrum, with the industry being so large it’s hard to get lost in it all, but it’s something really special when you reach and touch so many people, and create an undiminishable legacy. Twice is bigger than music, they always have been, and they consistently continue to prove that as the years go on.
