On February 8, 2026 Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio better known as Bad Bunny performed in the Super Bowl halftime show. Even though Bad Bunny isn’t the first latin artist to perform in the halftime show, he made history as the first artist to headline the halftime show with a set performed entirely in Spanish. Benito has become world-famous for his remarkable ability to elevate the Latino community, showcasing the diverse activities that define this vibrant community. He opened the show with his hit song “Titi Me Pregunto,” which translates to “Titi Asked Me.” He followed this with several of his other hits, such as “Safaera” and “Debí tirar más fotos,” making this halftime show a truly wonderful experience.
Special guests included Lady Gaga with her wonderful salsa performance as well as Ricky Martin. Some of the most talked about events were most definitely the wedding scene which was introduced by Lady Gaga as she sang “Die With a Smile” in a salsa style.
This part of the show symbolized family, love and purity. The child lying in the chair, who was lifted up by Bad Bunny, symbolizes all of those children who, despite the loud music, sought a way to rest. “Nueva Yol” which came right after the wedding scene is also talked about a lot. In this part it teaches a little about the Latin culture, both the dance and the different things that Latinos do, from hairdressing to women’s braids.
Bad Bunny ended the show by naming all of the countries of South America, sending a powerful yet clear and direct message. At the end of the day, we are all part of America, even Canada; and together we are stronger and braver than we think. Although many criticized this and disagreed with Bad Bunny singing in Spanish at what was supposed to be an English-language show, it also pleased many and made them happy to see such a young man fighting and putting his whole community on top.
