Less than a week ago Michael Jackson’s biographical film, self titled Michael, was released in theaters all over.
The film shows off the beginning of Jackson’s earlier life, from his early days performing as a young child at just the age of 5 years old. The biopic follows Michael’s musical career throughout his life and how he made it to be one of the world’s largest popstars’ to ever exist.
The movie shows off Michael and his family’s early days performing all over the world as the major pop band The Jackson 5 in the mid-1960s.The film doesn’t shy away from the controversies that surround the King of Pop, the film even includes scenes that address the horrific burns that Jackson suffered from filming a certain Pepsi commercial in the early 1980s.
The initial reactions to Michael have been a bit mixed over these past few weeks even before the movie was released.
While the film so far has gotten praise for its musical sequences and with the fact that Jackson’s actual nephew got to portray Michael in the movie. But some critics tend to think that it’s a big problem that it was blatant nepotism to get Jaafar Jackson to play such a big role as his own uncle despite not having any acting experience before this film.
But most of the audience watching the movie believe that as long as the movie is respectful towards the major legacy that Michael had laid out, then it will most likely be a major hit for those all around the world.
