Dead Island Riptide Review

Dead Island Riptide is the second installment in the Dead Island series. This game follows the plot of its predecessor, Dead Island, as players play as one of five survivors who have escaped an island inhabited by zombies. As one of the survivors, players land on a boat and are taken prisoner by the crew because the survivors are immune to the disease spreading on the island and those on the boat want their blood.

Once the survivors escape the boat, they end up on another island. There they find out the virus was actually man-made and the army is trying to test it to see its effects on the human population and see how well they can control its effects. Here, the game really picks up when you, as the player, find out that the island you are on is going to be nuked by the government to cover up its tracks. So, the goal is to escape the island.

Dead Island Riptide is a fantastic game. One reason is because it allows players to either make a new character or load a character from the first Dead Island game. The game feels exactly the same as the first one, which is a good thing because Dead Island was a very easy game to understand. This game is also great because it is very easy to get the hang of, and you can play with up to four people online.

Dead Island Riptide is a good game. If you were a fan of the first one, I highly recommend this one. I would rate this game 9 out of 10 because although  it’s a great game there are still some things they could have improved on such as game length and maybe they could have changed the game a little more since it felt a lot like the first one.
