Pablo Linnaeus Sent Back to Enviornment

Melissa Martin, Staff Writer

The new famous sight in HHS, a baby snapping turtle named Pablo Linnaeus, was recently sent back to his natural environment. As most know, turtles carry a disease called salmonella. Because of this, Mrs. Murphy could not keep the turtle in the classroom. Shortly before, three students during gym class showed up in the doorway of Mrs. Murphy’s Biology 1 CP classroom. In one of their hands was a folded paper and inside contained a baby snapping turtle. Mrs. Murphy took the turtle from the three students and continued teaching. Not only did she keep teaching, but she also brought him into the lesson! The class was learning about genus and specie(s), so Pablo fit perfectly into the lesson! He was named two ways. The first name, the students who found him named him Pablo, then the class picked his last name, Linnaeus after the lesson they were being taught. As told before, he was sent back today and is in perfect shape. Good luck out there Pablo.
