Every year around the month of December, every store starts to get into the holiday season.  However one store seems to be spreading more hate than holiday cheer; Starbucks. Starbucks has made the holiday cup for more than 20 years now; and just last year a worldwide problem was created.

Last year the well known red cup was released in December. It wasn’t until one customer got mad at the fact that the color red was a Christmas color. This year Starbucks revealed its first white holiday cup. Decorated with a pair of holiday themed hands with ribbons and lots of green and red adds on.  This allows customers to add their own color, just like last year’s cup. From the past 20 years the only non red cups have been in  1997, 1998 and 2017.

The world we live in is changing before our eyes. The Starbucks holiday cup is a yearly tradition: and no matter how they design it, people are not going to like it. The problem this year is that there is commercials sponsoring the cup, and the “Christmas colored” mittens drawn on the front of the cup. Overall, Starbucks is in the hot seat this holiday season all because of disposable cup.
