5 Mother’s Day Card Ideas

Melissa Martin, Staff Writer

Mother’s Day is a day to show your appreciation to your beloved mother. Many people show their love for their moms in the form of a card. Instead of buying a card from the store, here are 5 examples to help you make your own Mother’s Day card.

  1. Remember a time when your mother did something special for you? There are special times when moms give you something you cherish or take you to places that become special memories. Try to pinpoint a time when she went above and beyond and remind her just how much it meant to you.
  2. Thank her for what she taught you while growing up! Mothers teach their children almost everything, from helping with chores around the house, to becoming a good person, and how to love and respect others. Use your special Mother’s Day card to list some of her greatest and useful lessons, and how they have helped you along the way.
  3. Express thankfulness for her sacrifices. You wouldn’t be where you are today without your mother. Take the time to thank her for what she did and what she gave up to put you where you are.
  4. Write about a fun memory you had with your mom. It’s always a nice memory to go out with your mom either shopping or going to get groceries, but take this time to remind your mother how happy of a memory you had with her on a trip or vacation. Say how much you remember, and add how great it was to spend that special moment with her.
  5. Write about something she did before you were born, or when you were born. Who doesn’t love to hear a good old story about themselves? Tell your mother why you told her this particular story and what value it holds to you, or why you love her so much for it.
