Do bees clean? A normal person would answer no, but the town of Hawthorne decided to start cleaning their environment of all the litter being left on the ground. They call this the “bee drive” where the participants dress up as bees and clean! clean! clean! They pick up litter, food, and any other items that could negatively affect our Hawthorne environment. The first twenty five people to participate in this cleaning activity will receive a pair of gloves, plastic bags, and a device to pick up garbage from the ground. One of our brave HHS heroes, Senior Kayla Porter joined in to help clean and is now known as the “masked superhero” against litter. Their first virtual meeting was on Monday, October 26th from 7:30-11:45pm. How much can this bee team clean?
