The History of Candy Corn

The creator of candy corn was George Reninger who was an employee at Wunderle Candy Company in Philadelphia. Candy Corn was originally made in the 1880’s for “trick or treaters” and is now known as the candy that represents Halloween itself. Many years later there is now an annual celebration for candy corn known as National Candy Corn Day, held on October 30th to celebrate the production of the 9 billion pieces of candy corn made all around the globe.
