The summer of 2026 is jam packed with the return of three major film franchises, finally coming back to the big screen.
Marvel Studios is coming out with a brand new installment of their Spider-Man franchise with their film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Pixar returns again to the big screen with a brand new addition to the legendary film series Toy Story with the release of Toy Story 5. Lastly Star Wars will be appearing on our screens yet again with the long awaited Mandalorian & Grogue film which will continue the story told in the Disney Plus series The Mandalorian.
Marvel Studios will release their first film of the year with the latest installment to the Spider-Man franchise with the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This film will continue the story of Peter Parker who now needs to deal with life without his friends after they all forgot him in the spell that Doctor Strange had put them under.
This film will show Spider-man in a transitional phase as he learns to live by himself and deals with his previous issues that still haunt him to this day. With the return of heroes like The Hulk, and The Punisher, and a long list of villains being stripped right from the Spider-Man comics, this film will truly rule the summer. Spider-Man returns with the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31st!
Pixar will be returning to theaters with their latest addition to the Toy Story series with Toy Story 5. This film will pick up after the last film with the toys now faced with an existential threat. Their kid Bonnie after being given a tablet her parents has been giving her toys much less attention. The toys now must deal with this issue head on before they lose Bonnie to her device for good! Toy Story returns to theaters June 19th!
The Mandalorian & Grog is the latest film in the long Star Wars catalogue. This film will follow after The Mandalorian Disney Plus series. This film will follow our heroes being enlisted by the new republic who, after the fall of the empire, still need help to search for remaining imperial warlords who still pose a threat to them. Our Heroes Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu will return on the big screen on May 22nd!
