Festa Italiana!

Join us in the celebration of Festa Italiana! This event will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 during lunch, in room 111. Baked goods and hot chocolate will be sold. There will even be a visit from La Befana!

La Befana is an Italian tradition that comes from a Christian legend. This legend tells a story about three wise men that approach La Befana for help. She needed to do work around the house so she turned down the offer. Later, she realized she had made a huge mistake so she gathered a bag of toys and set out to find baby Jesus. Every January 6, La Befana searches for baby Jesus and when she cannot find him anywhere, she gives those presents to the children of Italy.
