With the warm weather coming in, more fun activities are ready to go.
Hawthorne High School has a spirit week that fits the season of spring. The spirit week will be occurring between April 7-11.
All of the categories that are part of the spirit week are related to spring weather in one way or another. This is a fun way for students and staff to dress up and get creative. The themes this year for the week are Matching Monday, Soccer mom/BBQ Dad, Garden Party, Throwback Thursday, and Aloha Friday.
For Monday students can pick a friend and choose to match with them to fit the theme.
On Tuesday any student can choose to dress as a soccer mom or a barbeque dad.
Wednesday students may find floral apparel or something that shows spring spirit.
Every grade on the day of throwback Thursday will each have a different decade to dress as. Seniors are Y2k, Juniors are the 90s, Sophomores are 80s, Freshmen are the 70s, and the staff will be dressed as the 60s. To wrap it all up on Aloha Friday, the theme can be anything representing a beach. Whether this is la Hawaiian shirt, or anything floral.
The spirit week is something many people take part in and find exhilarating to dress and participate in. The themes for the spring season are fun and something different. It will be a thrill to see all of the students and staff be very creative with how they represent these themes in their own way.
