On January 12, 2026 Hawthorne High School is having an event called Dual Enrollment Information Night.
Its purpose is to inform parents and students about a chance to earn college credits while you’re in high school. There will be multiple colleges here such as Passaic County Community College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, William Paterson, Ramapo College, and Seton Hall University.
The HHS school counselors will be there as well to give out information. You will also hear about opportunities like Welding at PCCC, Senior Experience Program, and the Hackensack Meridian Health Explorer Program. There will also be a bilingual presentation in Spanish.
This is a great opportunity for students to learn about different colleges and ways they can get a head start before they even graduate. Families will have the chance to ask questions directly to the college representatives and school counselors about admissions, course options, and how dual enrollment credits can transfer to future college programs.
Attending this event can help students explore career interests, and get important experience while still in high school. Parents and students are encouraged to attend and take full advantage of the resources and information being provided.
