If you have a September birthday, there is an astrological likelihood that you may be a budding literary genius–as so many other September birthday babies are. A number of remarkable authors born in September were on display in the Library Media Center during the month of September. The display, marked by birthday balloons, hats, and streamers, highlighted the works of notable authors such as Stephen King, F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner, and Agatha Christie. The September Birthday display, created by English teacher Kali DeHaan, also posted this trivia question: Which September birthday author won the Noble Prize for Literature in 1949? All students were invited to research the answer to this question and drop their ticket in the trivia contest container in the Library Media Center. Senior Ian Cabello won a $10 gift card to Dunkin Donuts with his answer: “Willilam Faulkner.”
