This year, October 13 to October 20 is  Restaurant Week in Hawthorne.  This event, which is sponsored by the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce, involves 14 restaurants around Hawthorne that are Chamber members, offering specials to get new people to try new things. For example, Tastee’s Pizza special is a large pie, 12 garlic knots, a bowl of spaghetti and a two-liter bottle of soda for $20.12.
