On Saturday, November 29, 2013, the Hawthorne Education Foundation (HEF) will be holding their annual Movie Day at Hawthorne Theater at 9:30 a.m.
The two movies being shown will be “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and Disney’s “Frozen.” Tickets are available for $9.00, and may be purchased either at any of Hawthorne’s schools or at the movie theater that morning.
President of HEF, Rich Malizia, commented on the fundraiser saying, “These are very anticipated movies, and we are expecting a great turnout… It’s been over a decade that the Hawthorne Theater has been helping us with this fundraiser, and we are very grateful.”
Forty percent of the cost of each ticket goes to HEF and will be put towards mini-grant requests made by teachers in the district to provide needs for their classrooms.
Ticket forms may also be printed out at http://hefonline/Info.html.
So, come out and support Hawthorne’s public school system.
