A tale as old as time!
Hawthorne’s Lincoln Middle School’s Beauty and the Beast opens this weekend! The cast and crew have been working so hard to put this production together these past few months.
The show is on Friday, May 1st @6pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and children. The show is approximately 60 minutes and is being performed in the HHS auditorium.
Beauty and the Beast takes place in a small village in France. The plot follows a young woman, Belle, who loves to read. The whole town thinks that she is strange. When her old father decides to go on a trip, he gets taken by a beast who lives in an enchanted castle.
Belle leaves to look for him and finds him trapped in the dungeon and trades places with him so he is safe. Eventually Belle finds out that the Beast is actually very gentle and sweet. In the end, he lets her free. She goes back to the village, realising she loved him the whole time. She goes back to them and they fall in love, turning the Beast into a handsome young prince.
