Hawthorne High School will have a new schedule for final exams this year. Instead of having all subject exams on the same day and at the same time (all History exams taken at the same time, for example), the exams will be administered according to class period. With this schedule, all first period classes, for example, will take their exams at the same time. Also, rather than have a two-hour break between exams, students will now have only a 20 minute break before they begin the next exam. This schedule will allow students to leave school at 12:35 p.m. This new schedule will also require teachers to create unique exams for each period so that no two periods will have the exact same test. There will be no more standardized department exams.
The exam schedule is as follows:
Friday, June 15
Period 1: 8:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Period 4: 10:35 a.m.—12:35 p.m.
Monday, June 18
