The Hawthorne High School Italian Club will be hosting an Italian Night Dinner on Thursday, May 9, 2013, 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the HHS cafeteria. The cost is $5 per student and $10 per adult.
Marisa Margarucci, the HHS Italian teacher who is in charge of the club, explained that all the food is being provided by members of the Italian Club and several Italian students. The meal will include antipasto, various dishes of pasta and “secondi” (a second course meat dish). There will be traditional Italian desserts such as cannoli, biscotti, and zeppole. Italian music will be playing throughout the night, and there will be a family Italian recipe book on sale.
According to Margarucci, all the money will go towards the Italian Club to fund scholarships that are given to the most dedicated graduating members.
Margarucci invited all students, staff, family and friends to come out to enjoy this fun night!
