Hawthorne High School will host its annual Art Show on Thursday May 23, 2013.The event will take place in the auditorium, auditorium foyer, and courtyard. The students will be exhibiting their masterpieces.
Students who are currently taking art classes will showcase their art work. The works range from paintings, drawings, and sculptures to videos made in the Media Arts classes. The art class teachers, Allan Rosenberg, Joey Carradori, John DiLonardo, and Danielle Russo, have been teaching and working with the students to prepare them to learn various artistic techniques which will be shown through their work at the art show.
As to why the art show is always a success with students, teachers, administrator, and parents at HHS, Russo said, “An art show is an important part of each year; it shines a positive light on the arts and talent in our building, and allows for members of the community to see what our students can do.”
Come and support HHS art students by coming to the 2013 art show. You will be amazed by the artistic talents on display.
