Spring Fling Aftermath

Hawthorne High School’s junior class hosted the school’s first Spring Fling dance on Friday, May 17, 2013, and it was, to quote Ryan Zawojski, “phenomenal.”

Hawthorne High School junior Alex “DJ Goose” Guarnieri, provided awesome tunes that, according to Zawojski, “rocked the house.”

HHS junior, Justin Charles, mentioned “There was a lot of singing and dancing. Alex and Dustin both did a great job with their performances. The weather was perfect, and the night was too. I even sang some Usher songs to the crowd. Mr. Hawthorne Approves.”

On top of this, the junior class continued to show its talents by having junior Dustin Scully provide a hilarious two-part comedy act. Scully’s performance included imitations, jokes about students and staff, events that have and will be happening at the school, and about TV shows as well. You can see the comedy act for yourself at: http://youtube/5AquwmbHllg.

Jason McKeown, HHS junior, noted that his experience at the Spring Fling was terrific. McKeown also stated, “Dustin was on point and hilarious during his stand up. I had a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to go to the next one.”

Due to a busy senior year for the Class of 2014, Zawojski does not believe that the class will be able to host another Spring Fling. However, he hopes that the upcoming junior class will take over the activity and possibly make it a new HHS tradition.
