An author presentation sponsored by Well Read New & Used Books brought members of the Hawthorne High School Creative Writing Club to the Louis Bay 2nd Library on October 21, 2013. Five professional authors of young adult fiction met with the young writers to discuss the writing and publication process. A lively discussion followed, allowing the students to ask questions and gain insight into the labor-intensive task of completing a novel. The presenters were: Lynn Maddalena Menna, author of Piece of My Heart; Shari Maurer, author of Change of Heart; Karen DelaCava, author of A Closer Look; Alissa Grosso, author of Ferocity Summer; and program moderator Alison Formento, author of Twigs.
