Hawthorne High School’s holiday dance was held at Macaluso’s in Hawthorne on December 12, 2013.
Sponsored by the senior class but open to all grades, the event included a dinner and dessert buffet of gourmet food and hours of dancing.
“It was a good holiday event to see everyone enjoying the music and food,” said John DiLonardo, senior class advisor. DiLonardo and co-advisor Marisa Margarucci planned this night months in advance, right down to details ranging from table arrangements to centerpieces, which were wintery branches decorated with silver and white ornaments .
The dance, which lasted from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. was a precursor to the next day’s senior volleyball tournament.
Senior Christina Pecoraro said, “Being with all my friends at our last holiday dance made it even more special, and I couldn’t imagine it being better.”
It was a great way for students to kick off the holiday season.
