After hard work and dedication in the second round of counties the Hawthorne High School’s girls varsity soccer team beat Hawthorne Christian Academy 4-0. On Thursday October 1, the team played in cold weather, but still played hard. Now they will move on to the quarterfinals taking on Lakeland High School in Lakeland on Saturday, October 10. Last year the girls lost to Lakeland 1-0, so this year they are coming back and giving it their all to beat them and move on to the Semifinals. On Saturday, the HHS’ girls soccer team asks for all the support they can get; so come to Lakeland High School and cheer on your girls varsity soccer team.
