It’s Hawthorne’s favorite time of year again, Mr. Hawthorne season. The annual Mr. Hawthorne competition is to be held on March 4. The competition consists of upper classmen showing off their talents, with the goal of being crowned the ever prestigious “Mr. Hawthorne” title.
Davius Bunch competed last year as a junior and is trying for the crown again. The Clarion decided to interview Bunch and get a little more information about him, as well as what his expectations are for this year’s competition.
Clarion Reporter: What are some of the things you are a part of at HHS?
Davius: I am part of track, wrestling, football and I was the bear for the Santa Parade.
Clarion Reporter: Why did you decide to do Mr. Hawthorne?
Davius: I decided to do Mr. Hawthorne because I had a lot of fun last time I did it. I thought it would be a lot of fun to try again this year to see if I could win.
Clarion Reporter: Do you think you will win?
Davius: I am very confident that I will win, mostly because I paid off Ms. Russo and the other judges.
Clarion Reporter: What do you think of your competition? Who is your biggest competitor do you think?
Davius: I think they are all scrubs and my biggest competition would have to be the Flying Dutchman.
Clarion Reporter: Tell us something about yourself that you want the audience at Mr. Hawthorne and the Hawthorne Community to know.
Davius: I love Hawthorne and the people that live in this beautiful town and I’m only here so I don’t get fined.
