Ever wonder when you would find the one? When you would experience love at first sight? Well worry no more! Hawthorne High School is starting its very own matchmaking website! Students have the opportunity to mingle like a pringle! The website, otherwise known as HHSmingle.com, will let you explore the wonders of love. We asked the most important questions; favorite color, favorite food and your dream date. To test these magical methods we began pairing people together ourselves!

For seniors, we thought of the future, commitment, marriage and the rest of their lives.  So when it came to love we got serious. We met up with track star, Rashawn Byfield.  He was in need of a girl, who exceeded his expectations and standards. His results came up and we were on a mission.   Mr. Byfield, who loves the color jam red, peanut butter (although he is allergic) and his dream date of being in Switzerland, was ready to find his soulmate.  So we thought long and hard, a girl who is a track star, who has a love for peanut butter and is ready to meet her match.  And then it came to us; Leah Matari! Miss. Matari fits all the criteria and exceeds it.  These two will be eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on a swing in Switzerland in no time!

Our methods were working and there were still dozens of seniors ready to find the missing piece to their puzzles.

We decided to do a second set up for seniors since this counted for the rest of their lives. We met up with Mike Dietrich, who was begging us to find him that special someone.  Mr. Hawthorne himself, desperate to find the light of his life, was ready to settle down.  So we thought and we thought hard and we wondered who would even be good enough for King Dietrich.  A light bulb went off and we figured out the one person in HHS that was meant for him; Mr. Liam Morrissey! The two were destined to hold hands as they ran into the sunset completely in love.

Next up were the Juniors, the kids ready to decide their future but not completely ready to commit to someone. They were ready for love all the while terrified of it. We thought of a guy who was in need of that special someone. It didn’t take long for us to think of him, Mr. Jack Hines! He didn’t need to tell us that he was looking for that special lady. We went through dozens of girls trying to find one to match Mr. Hines. We went through pictures and profiles and just as we were about to give up the answer appeared, Callie Keyzer.  The proof was right in the pictures! The two were already incredibly close and had multiple instagram photos. She was the girl we were looking for, or should I say Jack was looking for! But worry no more, these two are where they should be; in each other arms!

After the Juniors, we met up with the worst of the bunch. The kids who were old enough for love but too young that they didn’t want it, or so they thought they didn’t. We searched for the boy who looked ready to meet his soulmate, Carter Mascis.  We searched the sophomore class high and low for someone worthy of the Mascis’ love.  Someone who would experience his dream date of a hot air balloon picnic ride with him.  Our brains were put to the test when the lightbulb  finally went off, Devyn Alvarez! The two seemed to go together so well it was like they had grown up together. They seemed to even know each other’s families which worked in our favor completely! The love was already there and it was a match made perfectly.

Last but certainly not least were the babies.  The youngest of our school, the ones that haven’t even thought about the college visits and standardized testing ahead. We decided to take our sophomore methods and find two that already knew each other and were blindly in love, but they just didn’t know it yet. It took us awhile before we thought of the perfect match! Marjes and Jaycob Castillo! The two have spent so much time together, there was no possible way of pairing them with anyone else! They even had the same last name which means she wouldn’t have to change her name after the marriage that would totally happen! They were best friends that were destined to be soul mates.
