The Hawthorne Girls Track Team repeated as Passaic County Relay, Group B Champions on Saturday, April 9 at Passaic Valley High School. The Bears scored 126 points; Eastern Christian finished 2nd with 88 points and Lakeland Regional High School was third with 78 points. The Bears scored in all but one of the 16 events, winning seven events and placing 2nd or 3rd in the other events. There were nine girls who participated in four events for the Bears: Kaitlin Salisbury, Leah Matari, Mina DiFilippo, Meagan Scherer, Nicole Bertollo, Kim Corrales, Kayla Miller, Katelyn Moro, and Sofia DiFilippo.

The long and triple jump were won by the same trio of Kaitlin Salisbury, Katherine Russo, and Gabrielle Sloan. The 4 x 200 was won by Kaitlin Salisbury, Kim Corrales, Katelyn Moro, and Sofia DiFilippo. That same group took a second in the 4×100. The 4×400 team was victorious, and the girls on that team were Leah Matari, Nicole Bertollo, Katelyn Moro, and Mina DiFilippo. The javelin team of Leah Matari, Meagan Scherer, and Rebecca Dorfman won the gold; as did the 400 intermediate hurdle team of Nicole Bertollo, Kayla Miller, and Mina DiFilippo. The shuttle hurdle team also won, and that team consisted of Mina DiFilippo, Samantha Calkins, Kim Corrales, and Kayla Miller.

The 4×800 team took second place and those runners were Mina DiFilippo, Kayla Miller, Leah Matari, and Nicole Bertollo. The high jump team of Kalya Miller, Meagan Scherer, and Miriam Sokolska also took a 2nd place. Nicole Betollo, Leah Matari, Katelyn Moro, and Kim Corrales took a 2nd place in the sprint medley.

The distance medley and the 4×1600 teams came in third place. The same runners ran in both races; they were Mackenzie Conroy, Megan Stanczak, Rose Walsh, and Kelly Pinos.

In the novice 4×200, the group of Elisa Perez, Tatiana Vargas, Vanessa Fernandez, and Briana Brislin, took 3rd place.
