HHS Participates in Jeans for Troops

Alli Getchell, Staff Writer

Jeans for Troops is an organization that engages employees from schools and other businesses to raise money for military troops. In order to participate, $5 is donated to Jeans for Troops and the employees are able to wear jeans to work. The money that gets donated to the program, helps in finding jobs, education, health care, and housing for the great veterans that have served our nation.

On May 26, twenty-eight of our Hawthorne High School staff members donated $5 each, totalling $140. That day they got to wear jeans to work and supported the troops.
