As Christmas approaches, people start getting into the holiday spirit in many different ways. From buying gifts, to starting the official countdown, Christmas is a holiday filled with joy and cheer.

On December 3rd, from 10-11 am, Hawthorne is hosting their 31st annual Santa Parade, located on Lafayette Ave to Diamond Bridge Ave to Grand Ave behind the Louis Bay 2nd Library.

Citizens are welcome to join and support the participating members in the parade, along with bringing their children to meet Santa and read stories with Mrs.Claus. Aside from the parade, there is also a Christmas tree lighting occurring December 2nd on 445 Lafayette Avenue at 6 PM. Please come and join the fun, but be sure to dress warmly (due to the cold weather) and we hope you enjoy!
