The 2017 Passaic County Boy’s Basketball tournament seeds were announced on January 19.

Coming in with a record of (9-1) are our Hawthorne High School Boy’s team as the seventh seed with an automatic first round bye. This is Hawthorne’s highest ever seed in the county tournament. With an exciting start to the season, the boys look to contend for a county championship in their opening round contest on February 4 against the winner of Pompton Lakes (15) at Passaic (10).

Leading the charge for the Bears are junior forward, Dallas Hoffman, and senior guard, Ramon Mariano. Facilitating the offense are sophomore guard, Timothy Palmer Jr. and senior guard, Jon Di Filippo. Providing a defensive anchor are senior forward, Kendale Butler and junior guard, Danny Rodriquez.  Coach Ward will hope to win his first Passaic County Boy’s Basketball tournament.

Although Hawthorne is doing noticably well, other notable seedings include: (1) Eastside, (2) Kennedy, (3) Wayne Hills, (4) DePaul, (5) Wayne Valley, (6) Passaic County Technical, (7) Hawthorne, (8) Clifton, (9) Passaic Valley, (10) Passaic, (11) Paterson Charter, (12) West Milford, (13) Manchester, (14) Eastern Christian, (15) Pompton Lakes, (16) Lakeland, (17) Hawthorne Christian
