The Library Makerspace

Brendan Quinn, Staff Writer

3D Printers, Virtual Reality Goggles, sewing machines, Coding Kits, Micro Computer Robotics, these are just some of the resources available in the Library’s newly expanded Makerspace.

The Makerspace used to be located in a room in the back of the library and wasn’t very large or noticeable. This year the Makerspace has moved locations to occupy what was once the Reading Lounge Café. Since there is now more room, the Makerspace has more activities and tech.

For example last year there were only 2 3D printers, now however there is a total of 7. There are also computers for music production on Garageband, a 3D Scanner, and even a Lego wall. If all this sounds interesting to you there will be workshops on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch to learn how to use these resources.

Just sign up in the library to attend!
